Christmas Adam, Christmas Eve,....Then CHRISTMAS COMES!
Well, folks, 'tis the season!
I just love nothing more than the Christmas season. I love it love it love it.
I love having my family visit. I love playing inordinate amounts of Just Dance 3, and I love sleeping by the Christmas tree in the family room with my siblings.
I love giving.
As I've gotten older (I assume this is a universal occurance) I've started noticing how much better it feels to GIVE than to RECEIVE. I mean, I love getting that killer, spot-on gift just as much as the next person. But nothing beats the feeling you get when you give someone you care about something that makes them feel loved and special.
Christmas is incredible. But I think everyone already knew that. :)
Here are a few pictures of my family at Christmas. (they're all on facebook already...soooo sorry for the repeat, fb friends)
FALL SEMESTER AT BYU:
THE SUMMARY
College is hard. There is a LOT to learn. And most of the important things are not part of the curriculum--you just gotta figure it out on your own.
Something else I have learned:
(this quote sums it up nicely)
This last semester has kicked my trash.
My GPA is garbage, I am exhausted, and I have no idea what I am doing.
In summary, college is hard.
In summary, college is hard.
But, I have learned just SO much.
Specifically, I have learned what the above quote says.
I have learned that sometimes courage is just trying again tomorrow.
And that is okay.
Winter semester marks a new era.
The turning over of a new leaf.
I am going to be a better student. A better person. And I am going to grow spiritually. I can and I will. I will not let myself down anymore.
That was the worst thing about fall semester: I let myself down. I deserve better than that. The only person I can control is myself, and if even I am letting myself down, that doesn't set a very high precedence for people I associate with.
A lot has been learned this semester. I plan on becoming a better person because of it, and I plan on kicking some major academic and spiritual BOOTAY next semester.
IT

Merry Christmas, dear readers.
I am sorry I've been such a blogging floozy lately.
I will no longer flake out.
