Take a deep breath...

There are about a bazillion things I could talk about right now. Here is a list of all the CRAZY things I could talk about:
1. My lovely wonderful incredible awesome girlfriends.
2. My HORRIFICALLY long list of homework and studying that I MUST do. (not optional.)
3. My feelings on things that are not optional.
4. My feelings on people who are know-it-all's.
5. My new online obsession: Pandora.com
6. Boy things (but I talk about those ALL the time)
7. How it feels to be in pickles.
8. Missing home
9. MY JOB INTERVIEW THAT I JUST GOT
10. The pond/phone incident.
11. The video blog concept.
12. My paper that I have to write (on blogging) which is indeed on my list (see #2)
13. My secret (or not so secret) desires to just skip a few years (minus the fun stuff) and get to the place in life where I can just be married to a perfect man and not have to worry about all these DUMB boys.
14. Making good choices. (This is hard to do sometimes)
15. How I only have 2 weeks left of Summer Term!!
16. How I only have 2 weeks until Summer Finals. YEESH.
17. My experience with learning how to sneak brag.
18. How gorgeous the duck pond is. Who knew?!
19. The vending-machine BUTT incident.

See my predicament? How am I supposed to choose what to write about?!

I will just tackle the list starting at the top, and we'll see how far we get.

NUMERO UNO:
My lovely wonderful incredible awesome girlfriends.
Here they all are! Sorry, I don't have pictures of all of them, so these will have to suffice:

Me and Abby :)

Me and Elise :)

Me and Marissa :)

Alex and Makenzie :)

And I don't have pictures of Annie or Annabelle, but they're in here too. I love these girls so so so so so much!!

Okay here is the layout of our hall:

It is pretty much a party all the time. They are such strong, sweet, hilarious, wonderful girls, and I am so grateful that I get to be friends with them and share my experience at BYU with them. They just make everything better :)

So, yeah. I hope this brightened your day! I don't really see how it would have, but I hope in some weird way it did.

Have a sunshiney day!! :)

Don't count the miles, count the I love you's...

Gabby showed me this song. It is wonderful:

I have been missing my sister Gabby today. A lot.

This is Gabby, I haven't talked about her a whole ton on here yet which is a cryin shame cause she is one of the best people I've ever known.

Here are the wonderful things about Gabriella Bonita Heroux:
1. She is so funny. Like one time in the car she told the story of the movie Forever Strong. And don't worry, the story was about...45 minutes long. hahahhahahahahhahahah It was so funny.
Also I remember one time in the bathtub when we were little where she had a runny nose and she stood up and just blew her nose and a string of snot about 3 feet long came out. And it was so funny I almost died laughing and I will never forget it. EVER. SO funny.
2. Gabby is kind to everyone. It doesn't matter if they are cool or nerdy or hot or ugly or tall or short or lame or awesome--Gabby will be kind to them and call them her friend.
3. Gabby is her own person. It took her a long time of copying and being awkward, but she finally found her style and it is ADORABLE. Her hair. Her clothes. Her style in music, hobbies, men, etc. etc. Impeccable taste.
4. I know that no matter what happens or how I treat her, she will always, ALWAYS be there for me and be on my side. (Dag nab it my eyes are all stingy and watery. DARN YOU GABBY!) She is the person I know that will always listen to me and think I am wonderful even if I am a solid jerk. Which is probably not wise on her part sometimes, but it means the world to me. She is my best friend in the entire world, and I am grateful every single day that I get to spend eternity with her as my sister.

I love you so much Gabby! Be brave, be strong, be smart, and be sweet. You are amazing and don't let anyone ever tell you different. You mean the world to me, and my heart hurts so much that I can't be there this year to help you get through your first year of high school. But you don't need me. You're a superstar, and babe, you got this. You will do a beautiful job. I can't wait until you come out here over MEA. I just want to show you off to all my friends. I love you more than you will ever know, and I am so so so proud of the person you are becoming. You are the best sister and role model anyone could ever ask for.

Be good! I love you :)

(Yes, I am bawling like a baby in my dorm room. What's it to ya?!)

So I'm sitting here in the art section...

Things I love:
ART
Art books
Being an artist
Looking at art
Spending my time in the art section of the HBLL
Holding hands :)
Taylor Swift
Floral on floral outfits
Being done with class for the day
Sitting in a cozy chair at the library writing this blog entry
White cheddar Cheez Its
Seeing guys with weird hats and sunglasses (we are indoors) walk past me at an uncomfortably fast pace...

That last one just happened. 10 seconds ago. Weird.

Anyway here is a picture of my floral on floral outfit:

I like it. Some people might say it doesn't match, but I think it is stylish and cute and comfy. So I wear it. And no one can stop me!

I had a fantastic time last night. Like, really fantastic.
Here is what happened and it could have been really terrible.
Grab your popcorn and get ready for soap opera time, cause it's happening.

So roommate #1 and I were supposed to watch a movie. But then roommate #2 found out and was going to come. So then I felt like it would be painfully awkward so I found some friends and brought them, and we watched Newsies in the media center. Which was fun. A little awkward. But fun.
And THEN we went to the Tanner building (this really huge cool building with courtyards in the middle and glass so you can see what's going on on all the floors) and we played hide and go seek and sardines. SO MUCH FUN. So much fun. I mean really, this was the first time that I did something like that and didn't get kicked out of somewhere. Because guess what! We are adults.
We can do what we want. And it was super fun.
So we did that until like 11, and then we walked around and ended up going to McDonalds at midnight and had some food, and then we went to a park to go on the swings. And it was really fun. And there were sprinklers which we DID run through. SO FUN!
Until the police came and told us the park was closed and we had to go home. That was boring.
All in all, last night was so much fun! I got back to my room at like 1:30 am and consequently this morning I hit the snooze button for 45 minutes before waking up to do my homework. Lame.
But I DID get all my homework done (MOM). No worries.

So yeah. That is the update of my life.

OOh and I got asked on a date for Saturday! It's a group date! With a boy named Mason. Who is hilarious. And the boys are making us breakfast for dinner and then we are going to a movie. I am excited.

I swear there is more to my life than boys.

Like GIRLS!

We made an AWESOME video. Which is long.
It is seriously like 15 minutes long. But in summary: it is a video of me and my roommate and some WONDERFUL wonderful wonderful girls in my hall. Names: Abby (brunette) and Elise (Blonde). They are the best. And they can both dance like rock stars.

So yeah, life eez GOOD.

And for all of you MN people out there reading this: my friends LOVE saying things in Minnesota accents. It's a hoot. Honestly, it is so funny. Most of them just sound Indian when they try it though.
Which I think is even funnier.
Okay well I shall retire for now. I have to make an annotated bibliography (whatever THAT is) for Friday, and I get that feeling that it will take a bazillion trillion years.

Adios readers. Have a beautiful sunshine-filled day! :)

People aren't always what they seem...

Dear faithful readers,

I have some advice to give you. I think most of you probably already know this, but I will tell you anyway, just in case.

People aren't always what they seem.
That is all I will say.
This doesn't really have anything to do with anyone in particular, if you were curious.

Just something I have learned in my mere 5 weeks of college.

I went stargazing with some of my friends in a canyon in the mountains last night. It was gorgeous. Really really gorgeous. I loved it. And I love my friends. :)

Harry Potter was wonderful! There is a part of my soul that has been clenched since I started watching those movies however many years ago (I've never read the books, you see) and now that I've FINALLY seen the end, it has finally un-clenched. I feel so good now. WHEW.

Here is what I just ate for breakfast:
Trix cereal and sour gummy worms.
So healthy.
Oh yeah, I had breakfast at noon.
Gosh I love college.

Here is what  I don't like:
I have a paper due and a midterm exam on Monday.

I AM FREAKING OUT.

Also, here is what I have learned lately:
I am very VERY impatient. With everything. People, school, food, sleep, having fun. Everything.
I need to figure out a way to change that or it might just mess up my whole life. I hope not. But it COULD.

Now that I'm used to college...I think I want to go home for awhile. I mean, it's awesome here and everything, but I just miss everything being sure and familiar. Sometimes I just want to NOT have to worry about everything. I miss having a summer.
Don't get me wrong, I'm glad I did summer term and everything, but I am tired. And I need a real break. One that is more than just sleeping until noon on Saturday and doing nothing. Especially since I actually have to do things today...:/

Here is all I want:
Someone to hold hands with on campus. Just cause I think that's cute.
To not have a midterm
To not have to write my paper
To be able to follow my heart and do what I want.

Does this sound depressing? A little bit.
Is it really? No, it's just me learning about myself. It's good really.

So, off to the library to write my paper.
It'll be good for me.

I should be writing a Rhetorical Analysis...but my mind is busy....

Alright everyone, I may or may not have spent all day yesterday with a boy.
Who is ridiculously cute. And shockingly similar to me (in the good ways).
We had a FANTASTIC time. (At least I did.)
Here are the kickers: He is ONE inch taller than me. He leaves on his mission in November.
But my heart is all fluttery. Gosh darn it. Gahhhh.
Okay, well. That's that.
No it's not.
He is just so cute and sweet! He's a rock-climber and he's gonna take me sometime soon! He loves art and chick flicks (Not in a gay way) and we have the same sense of humor. (Except he doesn't think poop is as funny as I think it is, which is probably for the best) And I feel like a million bucks when I am around him. And he is fun and hilarious and smart and he WANTS to listen to me talk about what is important to me. Like all the weird things no one else really cares about.
All in all, he is a great person.

((Cross your fingers that he doesn't stumble upon this...he might think I'm crazy. Haha we've only hung out like 3 times))

OKAY. Well, I want him to ask me on a date. That's all I will say.

I've been on a Taylor Swift rampage lately. Here is my favorite of today:

I just can't get enough. I listen to this song on repeat too. A lot. I love it so much!!

Seriously. I just love it.

So I get to go see Harry Potter tonight after my Book of Mormon study group.
(Did you all hear that? YES. STUDY GROUP. So responsible, I know.)

I've been trying to get my hands on copies of the Harry Potter books so I can actually read them finally. I really need to do that before I die. It's on my bucket list as of....NOW.

I've added a few new things to my bucket list actually.

+ Read all the Harry Potter Books
+Go rock-climbing :) hah
+ Own a Harley Hydra-glide. (The bike in Wolverine. SO HOT)

+ Learn how to cook like a pro. FOR REAL.

I want to make bruschetta like THAT. Ahhh I'm sitting in the library DROOLING right now. So delicious. SO SO DELICIOUS.

I am going to be the coolest. Just riding my hot bike to the farmers market, buying delicious organic food, coming home an cooking it for my ruggedly-handsome husband. Gosh it'll be the best! Someday, I mean. Not soon. :) haha I have to learn how to cook first, and heaven only knows how long THAT will take.
I'll just watch Julie and Julia a bazillion times until I master the art of french cooking. But I want to make Italian food...so maybe that won't really work out as well as I hoped it would.
Well, it will happen someday.
It has to, it's on my bucket list :)

Okay, I should probably go be productive. But...I don't want to. I really don't. UUUGGHHH

Oooohhhh this is one of my favorite Taylor Swift songs.

I just love this song so so so so so much.
SO MUCH.

Well, I hope you are all having a fantastic day!

May the force be with you.

SWEET SUCCESS!...

Okay everyone, I had a HUGE triumph!!

For those of you who can't really read that (it's kind of tiny):

I GOT A 94% ON MY FIRST COLLEGE PAPER!!
WHOOOOO HOOOOOO!!!! :)

Why, yes, that IS a lot of exclamation points. I am quite excited about this. It's KIND OF a huge deal :)

So now I will reward myself by...writing another paper. That is due tomorrow.
But I just had to tell you all about my triumph! I knew I was smart.
TOLD YOU :)

Look how excited I am:

SO EXCITED :)

Okay enough boasting.

I have listened to this song on repeat for the last 20 minutes. I just love it!

Go T-Sweezy. What a lovely lady.
Also that library reminds me of Hogwarts....hmmmm which reminds me:

HARRY POTTER AND THE DEATHLY HALLOWS PART 2 COMES OUT TOMORROW NIGHT!!

Holy MOLY I am so excited for that too!!
But I'm going on FRIDAY night...not Thursday.
My sister and my roommate are going at midnight on Thursday which means they are going to tell me all about it....but I can't hear it!! Ahhh I'm so mad. But a boy bought my ticket :) SO...is that a date? I don't really know...hmmmm I guess we'll see.

I got asked to go to the semi-formal Black and White Masquerade this Saturday by a boy named Jeff. :) He is sweet and funny and nice. And we will have fun. I am going to wear my black sequin dress...so it will be marvelous regardless of how the dance actually goes.I love that dress.

Here's the bummer: I have midterms this weekend. Which I am NOT excited for. At all. I am really nervous actually...I have never taken a midterm before!! I'm flipping out. Whew. Deep breaths. DEEP breaths.

This is what I need to know, in case you are interested in seeing what is on a Book of Mormon midterm exam. I think it's kind of interesting.
Here it goes. The studying begins now!
So yeah, wish me luck everyone! Pray that I do as well on my midterm as I did on my paper!
Gosh I am so excited about that :)
I know this post has a LOT of pictures and videos and such...so I hope it didn't overwhelm you.
Do you, my small herd of readers, like or dislike when I put a bazillion pictures and videos? Hmmm I wonder. Personally, I like when blogs have pictures. They make me happy. But I'm a visual person. So maybe that's just me.
Anyway, enough of that thought.

I NEED TO GO STUDY MY BUNS OFF NOW.

Tightrope...

This song makes me have a dance party every time! Listen to it!

(My favorite part: "I tap on alligators...and little rattle snakers...:)")
Such a great song!

So last night, I may or may not have watched 7 and a half hours of Harry Potter in my dorm room.
It was so wonderful!
I only have to watch the last two and I'll be all ready to see the new one! I cannot wait. Ahhhhh
So so so so so so so good.
But I should probably be social tonight. Blah. I just didn't feel well last night and I just wanted some alone time :) People think that means something has to be wrong. And it doesn't. People are silly. Sometimes, I just like to be with myself. Is that so weird? I don't think so.

I have to start writing another paper today. Yuck. I guess it's not THAT bad. I like writing and everything, I just need a summer break.
There are two weeks in between Summer term and Fall semester that I affectionately call Summer Vacation. :)
I applied for a job, and if I get it, I will be working 40 hours each of those weeks. Which would be awesome money-wise. And not quite so awesome "Summer Vacation"-wise.
Oh well
Such is life.

Well I am going to go eat lunch with my friends now! So au revoir mes amis!

The Handicapped Bathroom...

Welcome to this blog post. Prepare to be amazed. No, really. It's not that awesome, but I think it's funny.

Okay, all.
There is this thing in my dorm called the handicapped bathroom. It looks like this:

Here's the thing about the handicapped bathroom: everyone goes poop in there.
Mostly because the rest of the bathroom looks like this:

And who wants to poop in a bathroom where people can peek at you and hear you go...you know?

So yes, this bathroom is a gem among bathrooms. Here are the reasons it is a gem.

Number 1: The toilet that doesn't really flush (Complete with complementary plunger!)

If I could show you how this doesn't really flush, I would. But, you're just going to have to take my word for it.

Number 2: The shower chair. It's gross. And it is made out of the same material that ALL handicapped supplies are made out of. Why, you ask? I don't know. I don't understand. Walkers, canes, shower chairs, handicapped railings. All made out of the same stuff. And I do not know why.
Lauren wanted to model this shower chair for you to show you how safe it is.
(She may or may not have contracted a weird disease from it)

Number 3: The ancient hand dryer (please note outrageous instructions)

"Shake excess water from hand."...hmm....I seem to have 2 hands. Which would indeed cause me to need to shake excess water off of my handS. But, the dryer company seems to disagree with me. Well, it did make me laugh. Maybe they were going for humor.

And lastly,
Number 4: The shower. Here's the deal about the handicapped shower. It's really sad looking. And it makes us (Lauren and me) laugh. I don't really know why. Just take a look and you might understand.

Laurenzo wanted to model in this one too. I think she makes a stupendous model! Go Laurenzo.

SO yes. That is the handicapped bathroom. It's a gem. And we love it. A lot. Enough to take pictures of it to give you a tour. :) HOPE YOU LOVE IT

Also, for your viewing pleasure: ANOTHER WONDERFUL VIDEO!!
This video is called "We Be Vacuumin'" It was kind of an accident...but you'll be able to tell that when you watch it. Don't worry, it's a bit shorter than the other one :)
But I know you all LOVED the first one.

ENJOY :)

I am a slob for time...

Do I really know what that title is supposed to mean? Nope. But it kinda rolled off the tongue, so I thought it would be wonderful. And look at it. It is.

Well, as I'm sure you all have noticed, it has been a few days since I last posted. You'd think this would be because I have been busy. And I HAVE...but I've been busy with things like. Sleeping. And going on stumbleupon.com. (Which is the most absolutely incredible waste of time EVER. Check it out. I'm serious) In other words, I have been wasting away my life. Which I am okay with even though I probably shouldn't be. I DO have friends. And we DO hang out and I DO my homework, but with all that extra wiggle time, I guarantee you I'm stumbling or sleeping. Those are my two favorite things.

UPDATE: I am currently enjoying a delicious bowl of Resse's Puffs. The world's #1 most delicious cereal   since the Trix that were actually in the shape of the fruits it supposedly tasted like. (Man...I miss that. The little round ones just don't taste as good.)
You should take my word for it. I'm pretty sure I'm the leading expert on deliciousness of cereals in the United States.

Here's the weird thing: whilst enjoying my nearly-midnight snack, I was smelling an "Island Colada" candle and tasting my Resse's Puffs...the two flavors got all mushed together. That is the weird thing that just happened to me.

So, I went on a date on Saturday night. And it was very interesting. The date itself was super fun! We went up a mountain and sat on Squaw Peak and had a picnic and watched the sun go down and then watched some fireworks and went stargazing. Overall: super fun.
Except this interesting part that was a little less fun for me (but super hilarious for my date apparently)
I had to pee.
The whole entire time we were on that mountain. And here's the funny thing about mountains: there are no bathrooms. So, as I'm sure you have figured out, using your impeccable deductive reasoning skills, I had to use the great outdoors to answer natures urgent call. Was this fun? NO. Was it funNY? I guess so.
So it is dark. Like DARK outside, and I heard some rustling in the bushes and I am still positive there was a cougar out there, but, being the brave adventurer that I am, I pulled myself together and "popped a squat" as they say. And I didn't even pee in my shoe. Are you impressed? Good. You should be.

I am volunteering at a race tomorrow morning called the Freedom Race...or the Freedom Run...or something like that. Guess what time I have to be there. Just guess. I bet you can't guess. I'll just tell you.
5AM. AM.
YEESH!

It is currently 11:11! Make a wish everyone.

I should probably mosey on over to my bed and go to sleep. 'Cause I have to be a bright shining ray of happiness and kindness (which is sometimes a challenge for me ANYWAY) in like 6 hours...so adios, everyone.
I hope you are all doing wonderfully.
Just a little something that I found (thank you stumbleupon) to inspire you:

I simply love this. I think it is wonderful and so so sooo true.

Goodnight! :)
